Project Overview:
Alejandra Zuluag, owner of a hammock shop, needed ongoing WordPress website maintenance and development support to ensure her site remained optimized, functional, and aligned with her growing business needs. Over our long-term collaboration, I provided continuous enhancements, performance improvements, and implemented multilingual functionality.
My Approach:
I began by conducting a thorough audit of the existing WordPress website, which was built using the Divi theme. I fixed existing bugs, applied custom code where needed, and implemented regular plugin and theme updates to ensure stability. Over time, the scope expanded as Alejandra required:
- Website migration and configuration to use two domains for the same site
- Changing primary URL to match branding and domain preference
- Implementing a German version of the site for multilingual accessibility using translation tools
- Ongoing performance optimization using LiteSpeed Cache
- Backup automation with WPvivid Backup Plugin
- Search engine visibility enhancements using Yoast SEO
Every change was tested thoroughly to preserve data, improve load times, and maintain a seamless user experience.
Outcome:
The website now performs reliably across multiple domains, supports bilingual visitors, and reflects Alejandra’s brand more professionally. With consistent maintenance and personalized support, the site remains secure, fast, and SEO-friendly. Alejandra was extremely satisfied with the improvements and trusted me with the long-term upkeep of her online store.
Technologies Used:
WordPress, Divi, Custom Code, WPCode Lite, LiteSpeed Cache, Yoast SEO, WPvivid Backup Plugin, and essential WordPress plugins.
